In today's episode of 'Things we want but don't need' is 24K gold-plated "ergonomically designed" makeup brush set from Artis. The brand was founded in 2014 by former M.A.C Cosmetics senior vice president Matthew Waitesmith. This limited-edition Artis Brush Elite Collection has ten different brushes for everything from eyeliner to contouring, and it's now being sold on Sephora.my for RM2,514.

I. Know. Right.

When you finally look away from the price tag, you'll see the gorgeous golden finish worthy of your adoration. Artis also promises that the brushes "give remarkable makeup results" as they're made of "exclusive filaments that distribute product evenly." It's also really interesting that the brushes are angled like toothbrushes, so that will take some getting used to.

"The finger is the first tool an artist has to create, and it is pretty remarkable in its abilities," Matthew told Huffington Post in 2015. "A tool should make something easier to do, not harder. And it's time the makeup brush did the work."

Here's what we hope the Artis brush set helps us achieve.

1. Pat McGrath's god-like makeup skills
2. Mulan's calligraphy level (bring honour to your family)
3. Paint like Michaelangelo at the Sistine Chapel (but on our faces, duh)
4. Feminism
5. Immortality
