For Chanel's latest makeup collection, global creative makeup and colour designer Lucia Pica focused on one thing we are no strangers to: layering. The Ombre Première line features two eyeshadow textures – cream and powder – which allow you freedom of expression (you can test that expression here).

Consider the 16 powder colours (this varies according to the market), eight cream shades, and how many combinations you could create for a single look, and you're left with more looks than you could wear every day for years. The collection, fronted by Kristen Stewart, also includes eye crayons and eyebrow gels to go with, well, everything.

Watch how Lucia Pica layered some of the shades for three distinct looks.

1. Blue over gunmetal black

2. Red over pink

3. Gold over gunmetal black
