How to recreate Victoria's Secret Fashion Show hair
Ghd global ambassador Adam Reed tells us how to get waves straight from heaven
The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was nothing if not beyond extra. Between the Fantasy Bra, the ath-lingerie, the feathers and holiday-themed looks, Shanghai's edition was not one to hold back. But there was one beautiful, wearable constant – the glorious glamour girl hair floating across the runway.
Angels Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Karlie Kloss and Lais Ribeiro sported these big, expensive waves, a look ghd global ambassador Adam Reed showed us how to recreate just in time for the holidays. "It's a modern, luxe wave this year; more luxe and dressed than before. It's a move on the from the undone beach wave of the past, to something more structured and beautiful," Adam says.
Follow these easy steps and you're one step closer to achieving divine tresses.
1. It's all in the blow-dry
"A good blow-dry is essential to set the foundation of the hair before tonging it. Blow-dry hair smooth using the ghd Air Hairdryer and ghd Ceramic Vented Radial Brush size 4."
2. Get them volumes
"Once blow-dried, spritz hair with ghd Curl Hold Spray and use the ghd Curve Classic Curl Tong throughout the hair to create waves. Wind small sections of hair around the tong, wrapping hair in one direction, away from the face. This will give a beautiful modern and voluminous wave."
3. Don't forget to shake your curls out
"Brush through hair with a ghd Paddle Brush and then gently shake the curls out using your hands for a tousled, sexy and modern finish."
4. A little hairspray goes a long way
"Finally spray ghd Final Fix Hairspray all over to hold the style in place."
Ghd retails at Sephora, Hair Code and selected hair salons.
