Eyebrows are the window frames to your soul. They're also a very important feature on anyone's face and if done wrong, can be used against you – I mean, you gotta believe tote bags that say 'DON'T LET ANYONE WITH BAD EYEBROWS TELL YOU SHIT ABOUT LIFE'.

So we spoke to Benefit Cosmetics' National Brow Expert Shanice Yong (who really loves Cara Delevingne's brows, can't blame her) for a few tricks anyone, from noob to pro, should master to achieve perfect arches.

1. Don't shave it all off
"Most of the time, people go for crazy things you cannot even imagine, and one of them is shaving off your natural brows – completely bald! – and then drawing on a thin brow with super arched tail. Don't do it."

2. Prep your brows for sleep
"Apply the Benefit Browvo Conditioning Primer (RM145), which contains keratin and soy proteins to help brows look healthier and and fuller, every night before you sleep for healthier-looking brows!"

3. Do not over-tweeze
"If you must groom your brows in between waxing sessions, you can tweeze them yourself but don't overdo it. Make sure to step away from the mirror once in a while to see how your brows look from afar."

4. Your brows can make you look younger
"Just apply a little highlighter beneath the brow bone. Using the Highbrow or Highbrow Glow cream highlighting pencil (RM115) from Benefit; it will lift your brows and your eyes will pop out even more."

5. What to do if you barely have eyebrows to begin with
"It's best to prime your brows daily (see tip no.2). For thin brows, the best thing to use is the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil (RM125) to trace your natural brow shape. Don't forget to fill them in, too. Brush on a little voluminising brow gel as the final step. It goes a long way."
